Program Components

The WBL Fellows Program is made up of in-person and virtual opportunities to convene and connect.

In-person meetings include at a minimum the following:

  • One-day introduction and orientation in Las Vegas on October 20, 2024 (coincides with WBL’s HLTH Reception on October 21, 2024)

  • Participation at the WBL Summit in New Orleans on March 16-19, 2025

Virtual programming will include:

  • 5-10 mentorship/advisor meetings throughout the program

  • 2-4 specialized programming sessions for the WBL Fellows Program covering foundational and impactful healthcare startup concepts

  • Additional ongoing virtual WBL programming

  • A complimentary registration to the 2025 WBL Annual Summit, a signature event (valued at $3000+).

  • WBL membership (1 year valued at $595), allowing leaders to take full advantage of WBL’s programs and offerings. Fellows continue to receive a discount on their membership while they’re in startup mode.

  • Introductions to WBL members tailored to meet specific Fellows’ needs

  • Pre-arranged 1x1 meetings at the WBL Summit or other WBL venues

Personalized Advice and Mentorship

  • Mentoring from a WBL member advisor – a leader who has “been there, done that” – your own business Fairy Godmother, of sorts.

  • Access to the Fellows Program Advisors for ad hoc or specific advice on a variety of business challenges

  • Invitation to an in-person orientation to help you begin building your network with the Fellows Program cohort

  • Virtual program sessions from our network’s experts covering foundational topics which may include: funding and funding angles, talent challenges, acquiring customers, developing partnerships and strategic relationships, scaling for growth, changing leadership styles and leadership models, relationship-building strategies, messaging, and building a corporate board.

Visibility

  • Exposure to venture capital investors and private equity investors familiar with WBL’s programming and membership

  • Visibility for yourself and your organization within WBL - may include virtual showcases, panel speaking opportunities, and connections to investors who participate in other WBL signature events 

Lasting Impact

  • Post-graduation formalized cohorts, a Fellows alumnae network, providing a new network of startup peers

  • Access to a second WBL Summit at a discounted rate
